Air Quality and Ventilation in Vermont Homes

Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce
Architects, Builders, Installers, Sales Staff
Intermediate

The past two winters, Efficiency Vermont has tested air quality in dozens of homes. The results are both alarming (most homes had 2-3 times the recommended exposure to carbon dioxide at night while people are sleeping, even in old leaky homes) and promising—homes designed or retrofitted with properly designed ventilation systems stood a world apart. Builders, architects, and contractors who attend this session will learn more about the problem we face, indoor air quality in general, and will take away key design principles and equipment guidelines that have been shown to provide superior air quality and value to homeowners.
