VFDA’s Basic Oilheat Technician Training Program is an 80 hour course designed for anyone who would like to enter this skilled trade of heating professionals. After 10 days of concentrated fundamental classroom theory, coupled with practical laboratory work, including some hands-on experience of live-fire equipment, you will acquire a solid foundation of knowledge.
The course is an updated and condensed version of the NEFI 160 hour course. It is based upon the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) Technicians Manual. The NORA Bronze Test will be given on the last day of the course and a NORA Bronze Certificate of Training will be awarded to each student who completes the course and passes the examination.
