Roundup of mid-year incentive changes for all programs

The following is a complete list of major Efficiency Vermont incentive changes for all programs that go into effect on July 1st, 2018:

HVAC Changes

  • The Central Wood Pellet Heating System rebate now includes the Clean Energy Development Fund’s (CEDF) Advanced Wood Heating System incentive for a total of $6,000. Therefore, the CEDF’s incentive no longer requires a reservation; however, $3,000 will be paid directly to the customer from Efficiency Vermont (unless the customer opts to have the rebate sent directly to the contractor) and $3,000 will be paid to the contractor by the CEDF. This incentive is available for heated spaces ≤ 5,000 ft2.
  • Central Wood Pellet Heating Systems for heated spaces > 5,000 ft2 are eligible for $1.25/ft2. Call Efficiency Vermont to enroll your custom project.
  • The Oil/LP Boilers and Furnace rebate discontinues on September 1, 2018. Note that this does not apply to custom projects.
  • As of June 1, 2018, Cold Climate Heat Pumps ≤ 2 tons are eligible for $300 and > 2 tons are eligible for $400.

Commercial Rebate Form Changes

  • Commercial rebate forms cannot be used for new construction projects. Call Efficiency Vermont to enroll your commercial new construction project through our custom program.
  • Commercial rebate forms are no longer being pre-printed. However, PDF versions can be accessed on our website, or you can submit via the Online Rebates application for products listed on the commercial lighting, HVAC and refrigeration rebate forms.
  • The rebate forms for Commercial Kitchen Equipment and Compressed Air discontinue on July 1, 2018. However, the January – June 2018 rebate forms may be used until October 1, 2018 for products purchased and installed prior to July 1, 2018.
  • The commercial Online Rebates bonus discontinues on July 1, 2018.

Residential Heating Systems Form Change

  • The Residential Heating Systems rebate form is no longer being pre-printed; however, a PDF version can be accessed on our website.
